What we collect

When you apply for a position with DEW Beauty Company, we collect the information you provide in the application: your name and preferred name, contact information, city and state, professional links you choose to share, cosmetology license information, professional experience, availability, your written responses, your resume or training background, your portfolio, and your acknowledgments and electronic signature.

We also collect limited technical information for security purposes, including a one-way encrypted version of your network address and your browser type. This information is stored separately from your application, is never used to evaluate you, and is deleted after 90 days.

We do not ask for, and you should not submit, your Social Security number, banking information, tax documents, employment eligibility documents, a driver's license or passport, your date of birth, or any information about your race, sex, gender identity, religion, disability, medical conditions, pregnancy, marital status, dependents, or citizenship. If you send us this information anyway, we will delete it.

Why we collect it

We use your information only to evaluate your application, communicate with you about the hiring process, verify your professional license, and contact references you provide. We do not use it for marketing. Applying does not add you to any mailing list.

Who can see it

Access is limited to authorized DEW personnel involved in hiring. Every time someone at DEW opens your resume or portfolio, that access is logged.

Some service providers process information on our behalf, including our website and database platform and our email delivery provider. They are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.

Your resume and portfolio files are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. They cannot be reached without authorization.

Decisions are made by people

DEW does not use artificial intelligence, automated scoring, or automated ranking to evaluate applicants or make hiring decisions. Every decision in our hiring process is made by a person.

Portfolio images

Please only upload work images you have permission to share. Do not upload images of clients who have not consented, and do not upload images of minors.

How long we keep it

If you are not hired, we retain your application for [RETENTION PERIOD — PENDING REVIEW] and then delete it. If you are hired, your application becomes part of your employment record.

We may keep records longer where we are required to do so by law, or where records relate to a legal matter.

Your choices

You may contact us at info@dewbeautyco.com to ask a question about your information, request a correction, or withdraw your application.

Withdrawing your application does not require us to delete records we are required to keep.
